Hartog Grass mix is ​​a fibre mixture, consisting of dried grass and fiber pellets (green-harvested oats cut before skidding). Hartog Grass mix is ​​a natural product, added with a combination of oil (5%) and molasses (5%). The mixture has a moderate energy and protein content. Hartog Grass mix can advantageously replace the amount of grain in whole or in part, so that the total amount of feed has a reduced content of grain (starch).

Feeding large amounts of grain can, among other things, be the cause of overeating or lack of stamina during work. By reducing the amount of grain and instead allocating Hartog Grass mix, the horse's stamina and performance can be improved. By mixing Hartog Grass mix with the feed, it will increase the chewing time, provide better activity, a better feeling of satiety and increase saliva production for the benefit of stomach function. The mixture can also be used as a substitute or supplement for roughage (hay/wrap).
