The perfect rug for horses that suffer Eczema, Sweet Itch or have very sensitive skin. This Eczema Rug is designed to help protect your horse from annoying flies and insects and prevent your horse from rubbing. To fully protect your horse, this rug has a neckpiece that goes up to the ears.

When horses with Eczema or Sweet Itch sweat a lot, it can worsen their condition. The horse can experience increased itching and bacterial and fungal growth which will lead to secondary infections and slow down the healing process. That’s why it’s important to note the Eczema Rug has a Quick dry material which guarantees your horse is not sweating under the rug.

Fabrics & materials
The fabric is strong, breathable, and very supple to provide your horse with the best comfort. Thanks to the light color of the rug, it will reflect the sunrays and does not absorb heat. 900 denier.

Shape & size
This rug has an extra long neck which is attached over the ears, this means the neck of your horse is also fully protected. The neck piece can be closed with 5 hook and loop closures.

To protect the belly area the rug features a belly flap. This flap is closed by 3 straight surcingles. The tail flap is a little bit longer than usual and features an elastic for the tail.

The Eczema Rug with hood is available in sizes 125 to 165 cm.

Care guide
Machine Washable
Most of our products are machine washable at 30 degrees. However, we recommend washing it as infrequently as possible and using our protective washing bags in order to maintain quality over the long term. We also recommend using professional machines (larger capacity) to limit damage due to the drum of the normal washing machine. To dry it, simply put it outside on a sunny day. The dryer is not recommended.
