Trust Sweet Iron Kimblewick Bit Medium Port

The Kimblewick cheekpiece is a type of Pelham but has a milder action and is ridden with one rein. The rider can adjust the sharpness of the bit. The lower the rein is attached, the greater the leverage, and the sharper the bit. This cheekpiece offers the rider more control over the horse than a standard cheekpiece. The Kimblewick is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

This mouthpiece is a straight-mouthed mouthpiece with a medium port. The port allows for more tongue freedom, preventing pressure on the tongue and distributing it evenly across the bars. This makes the bit ideal for horses with sensitive tongues or horses that protrude their tongues. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a distinctive blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust in contact with (air) moisture, which has a sweet taste and naturally stimulates the horse's saliva production. This causes the horse to foam more, which improves acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of TRUST bits to a brownish-gray.
